Healthcare
I lead data platform work at a healthcare company, building HIPAA-compliant pipelines on AWS — event-driven ingestion with Lambda, SQS, and ECS, long-running services in Kotlin, and a PostgreSQL/Supabase warehouse modeled with Kimball star schemas. Most of my time goes to replacing fragile, manual data processes with automated ones that can fail safely and recover.
Event-Driven Pipelines
I build event-driven ingestion on AWS with Lambda, SQS, and ECS — idempotent loads, retries, and dead-letter handling, so a failed stage replays instead of losing data.
Warehouse Modeling
I design analytics warehouses on PostgreSQL and Supabase using Kimball star schemas, sizing the platform to the actual workload rather than defaulting to heavyweight tooling.
Healthcare Compliance
I work in HIPAA-regulated systems daily: row-level security, audit logging on PHI access, and OAuth 2.0, treated as design constraints rather than afterthoughts.
